FAISALABAD: Shabbar Zaidi, Chairman FBR, has said that government was seriously pondering over taking measures in order to stop smuggling, under-invoicing and misuse of Afghan transit trade agreement. 

He was speaking at an event here today. He said such steps would facilitate the domestic industry stand on its own feet. Shabbar Zaidi further held that jobs could be created by industrialization.

Claiming  that no new tax had been imposed in the new federal budget, Shabbar Zaidi He said sales tax registration had been automated. He told that tax returns for the year 2018-19 could be filed by 2nd of July. 

According to Shabbar Zaidi people from all over the country had overwhelmingly welcomed the  the government’s assets declaration scheme.
