LONDON: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi arrived here Sunday (26th of September, 2021) on a three-day official UK visit.
He was welcomed at Heathrow, by Moazzam Ahmad Khan (Pakistan’s High Commissioner to UK) and Dr. Faisal Aziz (Deputy High Commissioner). According to details in the evening the FM will meet the representatives of the community at the Pakistan House. At the British Parliament Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has a rendezvous with his British counterpart Elizabeth Truss. Foreign Minister will also exchange notes with the Chairman of the British Foreign Affairs Committee and members of British Parliament.
FM will have a bilateral meeting with his British counterpart Elizabeth Truss. During which broad-based talks are scheduled at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Key issue to be pondered upon are bilateral terms, collaboration in multi-lateral venues and regional as well as global issues. The meeting will focus on bilateral relations, bilateral cooperation in multilateral fields and important regional and global issues. After his US visit the three-day UK manifests the strengthening relationship between the two countries.
FO maintains: “Pakistan and the UK are close friends and long-standing partners. Earlier this month, former Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab had visited Pakistan to hold consultations on bilateral relations and regional matters. The visit by the Foreign Minister will take forward the process of close consultation and collaboration between the two sides.”
It is pertinent to mention here that recently the former foreign secretary Dominic Raab had visited Pakistan.

Just before his UK visit Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi represented Pakistan as head of his country’s delegation to the United Nations’ seventy-sixth session. On Tuesday 21st of September, he addressed the Council on Foreign Relations. While in the Big Apple, the Shah Mahmood Qureshi had talks with a number of chiefs of global organisations and many of his counterparts. During the address and the discussions Pak-US terms, state-of-affairs in Kashmir and Afghanistan were particularly focused on.
