KARACHI: Acting Vice Chancellor of Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ziauddin on Monday (17th of October, 2022) paid glowing tributes to the focal person Dr. Sehar Afshan, Dr. Maryam Shafiq and the whole team of FUUAST for collecting relief goods for flood victims of Sindh and Balochistan.

The Acting VC highly appreciated the efforts of Dr. Kausar Yasmin, Dr. Lubna Bashir, Dr. Nusrat Jabeen, students, non-teaching staff and others for their humanitarian services to help flood victims.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ziauddin expressed gratitude to Chief of Edhi Welfare Foundation Faisal Edhi for encouraging the team of FUUAST in their relief efforts for flood victims.

He said that the cooperation of Edhi Welfare in delivering goods to the flood victims on behalf of Urdu University is a matter of pride for the varsity.

Speaking on the occasion, Faisal Edhi expressed lauded the spirit of students and teachers manifested in endeavoring to help the flood victims.

Focal person Dr. Sahar Afshan and Dr. Maryam Shafiq thanked Professor Dr. Muhammad Ziauddin and Faisal Edhi.

In the ceremony, Acting VC FUUAST Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ziauddin along with Faisal Edhi distributed certificates of appreciation on behalf of Urdu Varsity among the teachers and students.

Later, Faisal Edhi spoke to the students in the Microbiology laboratory of the University.
