Federal Budget proposes Rs3280bn for provinces in 2019-20 budget

PESHAWAR: The Federal Budget 2019-20 proposed Rs3280 billion for the provinces showing Rs700 billion excess amount over the corresponding fiscal year 2018-19.

The budget documents revealed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be provided Rs475 billion and Sindh Rs805 billion in next fiscal year.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has sought Rs206 billion from the federal government for meeting expenditures of the merged tribal districts in 2019-20 including execution of development program, salaries and other privileges.

Similarly the KP Finance Department sought Rs206 billion for new government jobs in the next fiscal year.

Under the ten years planning and development program, the KP would require Rs105 billion in the year of the program, the documents revealed.
