ISLAMABAD: FIA has arrested Co-Chairman of BOL TV Thursday (9th of March, 2023) when he landed at the airport here from Karachi.

As he failed to appear before the authority despite serving of several summons in a case pertaining to bribing Additional District and Sessions Judge Pervez-ul-Qadir Memon to get a favorable verdict in the Axact fake degrees case.

It may be recalled that back in 2017 Pervez-ul-Qadir (who was shown the door by IHC) had confessed before the court that he had taken Rs. 50,00,000/- to acquit Shoaib Sheikh.

When IHC instructed FIA to figure out the person who bribed Pervez-ul-Qadir Memon the authority repeatedly summoned Shoaib Sheikh to appear before it in the case. A FIR was registered against Shoaib Sheikh u/s 161, 165-1, 109 PPC and 5(2) PCA 1947.
