DHAMIAL (RAWALPINDI): Following a oil refinery supply pipeline explosion here on Monday (25th of Dec, 2023) fire engulfed a number of houses one of which situated at a distance of three feet collapsed.

Firefighters, who doused the incendie after five hours, used water and later throwing mud inside the burning houses.

The refinery staff were called to turn the supply off from the source. DC, who visited the site laid the blame on oil thieves.

Whereas, the area people said that there was an explosion and the oil refinery supply pipeline was laid back in British era and must be changed now.

A BDS officer, talking to the Media, said that blast resulted due to the pressure in the pipe that was passing near the houses.

Fortunately, so far no casualty has been reported.
