FM Ishaq Dar appears before Panamagate JIT

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar today appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) investigating Sharif family’s offshore assets following the Panama Leaks case.

Dar reached Federal Judicial Academy here where he will answer the questions of the team and show all the relevant tax returns from 2003 to 2006 as these records are not available with Federal Board of Revenue.

Dar had given a confessional statement before a court in Hudaibiya Paper Mills case in year 2000 that Sharifs used the paper mill to whiten the black money, however, he later said he had given the statement under duress.

Earlier today, the investigating committee quizzed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son Hassan Nawaz for three hours.
