ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has barred the ECP from issuing notifications apropos four senators-elect who happen to harbor dual passports until the case was decided.
Senators, Sadia Abbasi, Nuzhat Sadiq, Haroon Akhtar and Chaudhry Sarwar have been asked by the 3-member-bench to convince the court that they have shunned their foreign passports.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Naeem-ul-Haq has informed Newspakistan.tv that Chaudhry Sarwar has surrendered his British nationality. The other three were backed by PML-N. Earlier, Attorney General had informed the SC about possession of dual nationalities by four senators-elect.
