Relics back to Pakistan 1
In a simple but gracious ceremony held here on Tuesday 2nd of July at the Embassy of Pakistan the antiques (belonging to Balochistan) were handed over by the Director General Customs to Pak Charges d’Affaires Amjad Aziz Qazi who maintained: “Our relationship, creativity and artwork of these millennia old artifacts…These objects give us the pieces that we tie altogether of our ancestors. We keep ties with countries because of the manifestation of close co-operation between Pakistan and France in many ways especially in the field of archaeology. As you very well may know Pakistan and France have been co-operating in this way for more than 60 years. Almost 10 years ago these objects were smuggled from Pakistan in 2006 and 2007 and subsequently seized by French customs which are now being returned to Pakistan.”
Catherine and Aurore
Conspicuous among others there were French Archaeologists Catherine Jarrige and Dr. Aurore Didier (who is the in charge of the French Mission excavating here in Sindh Balochistan).
