CHARSADDA: Bacha Khan University administration has gained Frontier Corps (FC) to take charge as guard of Bacha Khan University (BKU).
The university had opened on Monday, 26 days after a terror attack that claimed 21 lives.
Administration has gained services of the Frontier Corps to better construct a fool proof security plan for future. The contingent has been deployed at university’s boundaries. An ex-colonel of the army is supposed to monitor the personnel and keep a check on the arrangements always.
Another eight elite force personnel have been handed over permanent duties at the premises.
After the attack on the university on January 20, Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak had demanded the federation to turn back FC contingents to the province to counter untoward incidents.
While talking to the media on Monday, Vice Chancellor (VC) of the BKU had said that in bid to suppress horrors of the attack and bin traumatic memories, a gathering was organised where experts were given responsibilities of counseling the students.
On February 15, women commandos of the elite force were deployed inside the main entrance of the university as part of attempt to beef security.
