Gabriel Attal, the youngest French PM

PARIS: 34-year-old Gabriel Attal has been picked by Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday (9th of Jan, 2024) to head the government just before Olympics 2024 and the European Parliament Polls where centrists have to face Marine Le Pen’s far-right.

Presidential statement, while confirming the appointment, held: “The president of the republic appointed Mr Gabriel Attal prime minister, and tasked him with forming a government.”

His tenure at the Ministry of Education has catapulted Gabriel Attal to the zenith of popularity in the government.

Taking to the X (Twitter) Macron said that he wanted Gabriel Attal to bring back the spirit of bold change: “I know I can count on your energy and your commitment”.
