Giant Mantas Seen Southwest Karachi

KARACHI: World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan has reported sighting of two Giant Mantas (a relative of shark and stingray) swimming in the Southwest Karachi in the Arabian Sea on Saturday (5th of March, 2022). 

The endangered species which has been put by IUCN in its Red List, was common here but now  it is hardly ever seen. According to sources the last Manta was seen near Churna Island in the month of October 2016.
