ISLAMABAD: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shah Farman while felicitating the Christian community on the auspicious occasion of Christmas, reminded the minorities to reaffirm their commitment to maintain unity, cohesion and fraternity in their ranks for the country’s prosperity and development.
In a message on the eve of Christmas on Tuesday, he said ” I extend my greetings to the Christian community of the country especially those hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is Christmas today and the Christian Community of our beloved country is celebrating their religious festival.”
Being the equal partners in reaping the fruits of development, progress and prosperity of our country as one nation, we, the Pakistanis are imbued with the spirit of brotherhood; fraternity and national cohesion.
He said all this, we avail, since our basic rights are constitutionally protected. Whether it is Christian community or anyone else in our beloved country, their role and services in every walk of life for making overall national development possible are a precious part of our national accomplishments. With this spirit we as Pakistani nation believe in continuing our collective efforts for our future well-being and to ensure better future for our coming generations.
On this occasion, he said “while saying happy Christmas to the Christian community, I would also like to remind them that this is also an important opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to maintaining unity; fraternity and cohesion at every level and work for overall betterment of the nation and the country”.
