Governor says he will work together with all stakeholders of Sindh!

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said today that he would work together with all stakeholders and political parties of Sindh.
He stated this during a visit to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam  Mohammad Ali Jinnah, here on Tuesday. The Governor offered Fateha and wrote his expressions in the visitors’ book, said a statement issued here.
He said that New Pakistan’s vision is in effect the vision of  Quaid-e-Azam. Prime Minister Imran Khan has embarked on nation-building in line with Quaid-e-Azam’s vision, he added.
Imran Ismail said he would serve the people of the province with honesty and dedication, adding that he would work together with all the stakeholders and political parties of the province. He further said input of the political parties which are not in assemblies would also be taken.
The Governor said the resolution of water problems of Karachi is the top priority, adding that he has talked to the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister for this purpose. He said a water supply project would soon be initiated in the metropolis. He further said the pace of work on Green Line and other mega projects would be expedited.

Imran Ismail, sworn in as Sindh Governor Monday evening, has assured to accord top priority to the public welfare of the people in the province and strengthen their confidence on democracy. Talking to Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah who called on him, soon after the oath-taking ceremony, he said as federal government representative he would ensure that wide range of measures are adopted and all steps taken in close collaboration with the provincial government. “We as stakeholders of the system have to work together for the public benefit,” he said emphasizing that he would do his utmost to ensure coordination at every level. A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) comprising Faisal Sabzwari and Khawaja  Izhar ul Hasan also met the Governor and extended him their greetings for assuming fresh responsibilities. They expressed their confidence that being fully conscious of the problems faced by the citizens of Karachi, Imran Ismail would exercise all efforts to get these efficiently addressed. MQM leaders assured that their party would support the Governor as well as the other stakeholders in the larger interest of the province and its capital Karachi. Sindh Governor said it was heartening that all political parties having roots in the province were keen to work for its progress and prosperity.
