Govt allowed to talk to TTP by PCNS

ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS)’s sixth in-camera session was summoned by the Speaker of NA Raja Pervez Ashraf on Tuesday (5th of July, 2022). 

The huddle was attended by the Army, Navy, Air Force Chiefs, Heads of other Security Agencies, Parliamentarians, officials of the ministries of defense, foreign affairs, interior, Kashmir affairs, health and federal secretariat of the national security division.

Participants were informed that the govt was negotiating with the TTP within the framework of the Constitution of Pakistan in order to maintain internal and regional peace and tranquility.

During the rendezvous formal approval was given to the government apropos holding talks with TTP. The final outcome will be implemented within the limits of the Constitution.
