ASTORE: Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman on Wednesday said the government was committed to socio-economic development of the area.
He expressed these views during a briefing given by Parliamentary Secretary Major (retd) Amin on problems and developmental schemes which are underway in his constituency.
The CM was informed that a number of developmental projects were in progress including district Ghanji. These schemes would go a long way in raising living standard of masses.
The schemes were being pursued without discrimination, he said.
He said that administrative reforms had been introduced in Ghanji district on a wider scale to improve governance and resolve masses’ problems at the earliest.
The parliamentary secretary said that claims and commitments made with masses on the occasion of election were being fulfilled.
He informed that Skardu road which was long standing demand of the area, was going to complete soon, which would help boost business activities in the area.
The provincial government would continue extending relief to common people and all the developmental schemes would be completed timely, the CM said.
