LAHORE: Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan has said Pakistan desires to put in place port infrastructure along Pak-Afghan border to manage goods and human traffic.
In an interview, the minister said that Pak-Afghan border cannot be left unmanaged.
Earlier, Dastagir said that Pakistan has made significant progress in promoting economic stability and is set for greater investment.
“Peace and stability has been restored to a great extent and business activity has picked up tremendously,” he said.
The minister further said that Pakistan has settled into a period of relative calm and due to strict and effective security measures, terrorist attacks in the country have declined by more than 70 percent.
“The life was back to normal and the development work had picked up pace,” Dastagir said adding that the Pakistan was making progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
