Govt to launch ‘National Youth Development Index Survey’

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to launch ‘National Youth Development Index Survey’ in order to gauge development needs of youth in different areas of the country.

The decision was taken at a meeting between Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar and Minister for Planning Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar in Islamabad.

The national youth development index survey would be a first-ever district-level national survey to keep a track of the data on youth development.

The index would not only help in targeted interventions for the socio-economic development of youth but would also promote a culture of spending on youth development among the provinces.

During the meeting, it was also agreed that government would work on scaling up the said program to accommodate more young development fellows through it annually.
