Green Shirts dismiss England on 272 in the 1st Test




LONDON: The English team was all out for 272 in the first innings against Pakistan on the fields of Lords on the third day of Test series.

Batting first, the Pakistan team scored 339 in the first innings with the team captain Misbah’s successful first century at Lords. While the English team only managed to reach 272.

Pakistan is on the lead against England by 67 runs.

Leg spinner Yasir Shah took six wickets in the innings for Pakistan – declared as the best figures by an overseas spinner against England at Lord’s since Sid Pegler’s seven for 65 for South Africa in 1912.

Pakistan is on the lead against England by 67 runs.

This morning, England lost Stuart Broad with 260 runs on the scoreboard as he was bowled by Wahab Riaz after scoring 17 runs from 45 deliveries.

Alastair Cook, the England captain, top-scored with 81 and put on 110 for the second wicket with Joe Root (48).

Jake Ball was the last batsman to be dismissed as he was run out while coming for the second run. He contributed four runs with the blade.

Pakistan will play three other test matches against England on the Lords ground. Mohammad Hafeez and Shan Masood will open the second innings for the green shirts.
