Guardian & Telegraph distance themselves from writer Monisha who called for Trump’s assassination over twitter

M. M. ALAM

LONDON: Guardian has distanced itself from feature-writer Monica Rajesh, who called for Trump’s assassination over twitter, by terming her as an infrequent freelance contributor and not a staff writer. Hence the publication held that it could not take responsibility for “comments expressed by her in a personal capacity.”

Monica Rajesh has also written for The Daily Telegraph and The New York Times. Telegraph Media Group maintaining that she is not an employee stated that she “will not be commissioned on a freelance basis”. She later shut down her said accounts.

8080808080Monica is known for her travelogue ‘Around India in 80 Trains’ that she has penned after spending 5 months travelling the length & breadth of India using Indian Railways in 2010.around-th-ewordl-in-80-trains-copy
