Hajj balloting to be held today

ISLAMABAD: Computerized balloting of more than 300,000 hajj applications received under the government’s Hajj scheme 2017 will take place today (Friday).

According to the new Hajj Policy 2017-18, as many as 107,536 pilgrims will perform Hajj under government’s Hajj scheme. Additionally, 71,000 others will perform the annual religious rites under private tour operators.

A total of 179,210 pilgrims will perform the Hajj this year.
