Hajj Policy 2016 announced

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-religions Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf has announced the Hajj policy here on Saturday.

 

The Minister has informed that those who have performed Hajj in the last five years will

be ineligible to apply in 2016. 

 

This year a total of 1, 43,268 pilgrims will be performing Hajj, out of which 57,347 will avail facilities of private schemes.

 

The applications for Government quota will be received from 18th to 26th April while the draw will be held on 29th day of the same month.

 

This year Hajis will be provided accommodation at a distance of 500 meters or less from Masjid-e-Nabvi.

 

Tracking system has been introduced and all Hajis will have to wear tracking bracelet. Each Haji will be allowed to carry five liters of Aab-e-Zam Zam back home.
