Hamas warns Israel to withdraw all its forces from Al-Aqsa Mosque

JERUSALEM: In response to the Israeli actions in Sheikh Jarrah and Al-Aqsa Mosque, Qassam Brigades fired rockets here on Monday 10th of May saying: “This is a message that the enemy must understand well: If you respond we will respond, and if you escalate we will escalate!”

While PM Benjamin Netanyahu held that Hamas had crossed a red line by targeting Jerusalem, Hamas warned Israel to withdraw all its forces from the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque and East Jerusalem district of Sheikh Jarrah.

For the first time since the 2014 Gaza conflict, people in Jerusalem, including parliamentarians in the Knesset legislature, fled to the bunkers when sirens wailed across the city after 1500 GMT deadline set by Hamas.

The skirmishes at Al-Aqsa Mosque compound escalated. Israel and Hamas exchanged fire today (11th of May) as a result 22 Palestinians, including nine children, lost their lives in the blockaded Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. 106 people also got injured due to the ongoing fighting.

Israel Dome SystemJERUSALEM: While Palestinian fighters fired two hundred rockets towards Israel since Monday (10th of May) 90% failed to reach the target as they were  intercepted by Iron Dome Missile Defense System. Nevertheless, at least six citoyens here have been wounded. Israel too carried out 130 strikes by means of fighter jets and attack helicopters on military targets in the enclave, killing 15 commanders from Hamas/Islamic Jihad.

Reacting to the Israeli atrocities Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made telephone calls to Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas and Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh on Monday (10th of May) and said he would do everything in his power to mobilize the world, starting with the Islamic World, to stop Israel’s terror and occupation.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi took to the Twitter to state: “Spoke to brother Mevlut Cavusoglu on the increasingly dire and oppressive situation in Palestine. Fully support Turkey’s call to convene meeting of OIC_OCI & UN. Storming 1st Qibla of Islam Masjid Al Aqsa, killing children and forcing evictions – absolutely unacceptable.”
