Hangu Polls: PTI retains NA-33 seat

HANG: PTI managed to retain NA-33  seat in Hangu by-election held on Sunday 17th of April, 2022.

According to details PTI candidate Nadeem Khan secured 21,583 votes, whereas, JUI-F’s Ubaidullah received 17,153 votes. This seat had fallen vacant on 14th day of February, 2022 when winning candidate Nadeem Khan’s father PTI MNA Khayal Zaman Orakzai passed away.

It has been insinuated that PTI’s taking part in the polling process was a symbolic gesture. After the official announcement of results, winning candidate Nadeem Khan would resign following 123 PTI MNAs who tendered their resignation over Lettergate during No-Confidence Motion against Imran Khan.
