ISLAMABAD: Due to heavy rains, that pounded upper parts of the country on Wednesday, at least 11 people lost their lives.
Rescue officials, while confirming the deaths said that some 915 people were rescued from inundated areas.
The officials also confirmed that 60 people got injured in various road accidents during the downpour.
Several parts of the country including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Naushehra, Charsadda, and Attock were affected due to the torrential rain that caused different incidents.
Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported that rain water inundated main areas of Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Peshawar. Some fifty houses fully or partially collapsed injuring dozens of people throughout the province.
