Heavy rains lash UAE, Dubai Mall flooded

DUBAI: The largest shopping Mall in the world located here was flooded as heavy rains lashed the UAE today (Sunday 10th of November, 2019).  Shops, however, remained open.

In the snaps and videos appearing on Social Media people could be seen walking about the water-logged areas sans problem.  At a few places in the Mall, the roofs were also leaking.

Emaar spokesperson took to the Twitter to hold: “Dubai Mall was affected by the heavy rainfall, causing leakages in limited areas. We are working to contain all leakages and the mall remains operational and open to the public. Mall staff are on the ground, ensuring the visitor experience remains unaffected.”Dubai Mall Flooded 1

Residents here across the UAE are experiencing rain and thunder. According to a National Center of Meteorology (NCM) official the ongoing cloud seeding process that took place Saturday and Sunday will continue tomorrow is enhancing the amount of rain. The official informed the Media that whenever there were convective clouds, cloud seeding was carried out as it increases the chance and amount of rain. UAE weathermen predict heavy downpour across the UAE until Monday (11th of November, 2019).
