MANHATTAN: IAEA has warned that nuclear safety and security situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine remains extremely fragile and dangerous.
Briefing a UN Security Council, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said military activities in the region may increase considerably in the near future.
He said there have been seven occasions when the site had to rely on the last line of defence against a nuclear accident.
Rafael Grossi said we have to takes steps to minimize the chance to avoid the danger of a catastrophic incident at the Zaporizhzhia plant.
