ICC Champions Trophy at Edhi Home brings smiles to orphan kids

KARACHI: The ICC Champions Trophy on its Pakistan tour was unveiled at Karachi’s Edhi Home on Thursday, with cricket legends Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan getting to spend some quality time with it.

Afridi, who is also the Pakistan Ambassador for the championship, unveiled the trophy along with the Edhi Family and the kids at the orphanage.

“An honour to unveil the ICC champions trophy at the iconic Edhi center; met the iron strong kids and offered Fateha,” wrote Afridi on his official Facebook account.

The former all-rounder added that he will travel to England to watch high-voltage Pakistan-India match. ‘I will definitely go there, Pak-India match is always interesting to watch.’

The ICC Champions Trophy started its journey on March 21st from Dubai. Since then the trophy has been travelling to various cities around the world. Karachi is the seventh city to welcome the trophy. The trophy will also travel to the Mohatta Palace and the University of Karachi, where fans will get the chance to see the trophy.
