ICC Champions Trophy 2025: NZ beats Pak by 60 runs

NATIONAL STADIUM KARACHI: Kiwis have beaten Green Shirts by 60 runs in the opening ODI of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, played here Wednesday (19th Feb 2025).

KARACHI: Green Shirts won the toss & opted to field against Kiwis that scored 320 runs.

KARACHI: Kiwi Will Young contributed 107 runs off 113 balls towards the New Zealand’s total of 320 runs for five in fifty overs.

Green Shirt Saud Shakeel went back to pavilion scoring six runs off 19 balls. Glenn Philips’ catch stopped the journey of Muhammad Rizwan who made only three runs. Babar Azam mustered 64 runs off 90 balls while Fakhar Zaman faced 41 deliveries to score 24 runs. Salman Agha added 42 (off 28 balls) while Khushdil Shah tried to resist hitting 49 balls to score 69 runs.
