KARACHI: ICC has named Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year; Shaheen Afridi Cricketer of the Year; wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan T20I Cricketer of the Year (with 26 innings, 1326 runs, 73.66 average, One century, 12 fifties, 22 catches, 2 stumpings).

ICC took to the Twitter to point towards Rizwan’s: “Sheer Consistency, indomitable spirit and some breathtaking knocks. 2021 was memorable for Mohammad Rizwan…
“The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman ruled the roost in 2021 when it came to the shortest format of the game.”
ICC’s ODI Cricketer of the Year Babar Azam scored 405 runs at an average of 67.50.
By taking 78 scalps in 36 matches (across formats) Shaheen Afridi entered his name in the history books of Cricket. He became the first Pakistani to win Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also took to the Twitter to congratulate the Cricket Stars.
ICC’s Emerging Women’s Cricketer Of the Year Fatima Sana took 24 wickets at an average of 23.95 and scored 165 runs at an average of 16.50 in 15 international matches. In order to further encourage Fatima Sana, the Chairman of Peshawar Zalmi and CEO Haier Pakistan, Javed Afridi has announced, by means of Twitter, that Pakistan’s women’s team pacer would be granted a special award.
