ICIJ has not apologized to PM: Says director Gerard Ryle

M.M.A

KARACHI: Gerard Ryle, Director of the Washington-based International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ, operated by the Center for Public Integrity) has denied The News International’s insinuation that ICIJ has apologized to PM (Nawaz Sharif).

Maintaining that the organization stood by its reporting Gerard Ryle termed The News International’s report as extremely misleading: “As I understand from reading the report it is claiming that ICIJ has issued an apology and withdrawn all mention of the PM being in the data.

“Let me be very clear. The PM’s name is in the data, in reference to his children, and you can read about the Mossack Fonseca Links here: https://panamapapers.icij.org/the_power_players/?lang=en&autoresize=true#19”.
