Chaman IED Blast: JUI-F leader Maulana Muhammad Hanif, two others killed

CHAMAN (Balochistan): Jama’at-e-Ulema-e-Islam (F)’s central leader Maulana Muhammad Hanif who was wounded as a result of an explosion caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) here today succumbed to his injuries on his way to a hospital in Quetta.Maulana Muhammad Hanif JUI FAccording to details two people (including a 12-year-old child) expired when an IED planted on a motorcycle parked on the busy Taj Road  (harboring business centers, offices of Media outlets and political parties) was detonated. Twelve people, including Maulana Muhammad Hanif, got severely injured. 

Since the explosion took place in front of JUI-F office the moment when Maulana Muhammad Hanif’s car was passing by the area, it is believed that the attack was aimed at him. Moreover, in the month of May 2017 Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri’s convoy was attacked by a suicide bomber in Mastung. While 28 people lost their lives in the attack, 39 (including Maulana Haideri) got injured. Earlier, in 2014 Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman survived another suicide attack in Quetta when he was addressing a public gathering.

While rescue workers transported the wounded to the Civil Hospital, the scene of crime has been cordoned-off by personnel of LEAs. Sources privy to the NPTV have informed that due to repercussion the glasses of the nearby buildings windowpanes shattered, a car parked nearby was also seen engulfed in fire. Shops and many other vehicles were also damaged.

Condemning the bomb attack, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman termed Maulana Muhammad Hanif as a sincere leader and held that the explosion was result of a conspiracy against peace.

CHAMAN: One died, ten wounded when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), planted on a motorcycle, exploded here at Mall Road today.

According to the sources privy to NPTV explosion occurred when FC troops were passing through. Injured are being treated at medical facilities. A number of shops, cars, and bikes were damaged due to the blast. 

Chaman mosque: 15 Namazis injured in an IED blast!

CHAMAN (Balochistan): Fifteen namazis, including the Imam of Surkh Jamia Masjid at Taj Road Killa Abdullah district here, got wounded today as a result of an IED blast.

Sources privy to Newspakistan.tv have informed that the explosion took place during Maghrib prayers. While 6 injured were transferred to Civil Hospital Chaman three in critical condition were taken to Quetta. Injured were identified as Abdul Basir, Ali Akbar, Dost Muhammad, Lal Muhammad, Muhammad Tahir, Najeeb-Ullah, Noor Ali, Rozi Khan, Shabir Ahmed, Talib,  Umar Shah & Wali Khan. The area has been cordoned off by the personnel of LEAs. Chaman is located at the Pak-Afghan border.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan has strongly condemned the blast at a mosque in Chaman. In a statement, the Chief Minister said that the terrorists were carrying out subversive activities in sheer frustration who were on retreat due to their constant defeat at the hands of brave security forces.
