IK asks leaders to leave party if cannot manifest on 24th Nov

RAWALPINDI: PTI Chief, Imran Khan, while permitting Ali Amin Gandapur and Barrister Gohar, to engage with the establishment, in order to hold a dialogue till Thursday (21st Nov, 2024), warned leaders by means of X (Twitter) on Tuesday (19th Nov, 2024) to leave party or participate in the protest.

“Everyone must join the protest on November 24th. If any PTI leader or ticket holder is not able to ensure their participation in the protest, they should disassociate themselves from the party because this is the decisive moment when the entire nation will come out for freedom. The nation will not accept any excuse at such a critical time.”

Maintaining that enslaved nations eventually die away, Imran Khan said that the protest of 24th Nov was a golden opportunity to acquire genuine freedom of Pakistan: “Come out on Nov 24 with the same passion that you demonstrated on Feb 8, when you came out, despite all the challenges, to prove the power of your vote.”

Meanwhile, to foil the Sunday (24th Nov, 2024) protest of PTI, Police here have sought 1200 containers and 22,000 security personnel (from FC, Punjab and Sindh Police).

Anticipating an enormous number of people, Islamabad Police also demanded 40,000 (long as well as short range) teargas shells, 2000 teargas lobbing guns, 2500 guns alongwith 50,000 rubber bullets and 5000 anti-riot gears.

A week before the PTI’s power show, administration here had imposed Section 144 on 18th Nov for two months (prohibiting an assembly of four or more).

While cynics go haywire wondering how PTI will arrange logistics for the power show. PTI’s Ali Amin Gandapur, CM of KP, said: “Imran’s sister Aleema Khan has announced the date of protest, preparations have been completed and this time there will be no turning back”.

Commenting on Section 144 PTI leader Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra termed it malafied and illegal as it was imposed every time Imran Khan called for a protest.

PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh met lawyers associated with Karachi Bar Association, inviting them to participate in the march of Last Call: “The Karachi Bar Association has always played a pivotal role in defending the judiciary and upholding the law, especially in opposing the 26th constitutional amendment.”

It may be recalled that Imran Khan on 13th Nov had given the final call asking his supporters to converge here on Sunday 24th November to protest against:

1) Stolen mandate;

2) Unjust arrests; and

3) The way 26th constitutional amendment bill was passed.
