IK’s close confident Farrukh Habib quits PTI, joins IPP

ISLAMABAD: Farrukh Habib, close confident of PTI Chief Imran Khan, who was picked up by security personnel in plain clothes from Gawadar last month, resurfaced here at a Presser on Monday (16th of October, 2023) to announce his quitting the PTI and joining Jahangir Tareen-led Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).

During the Press Conference Farrukh Habib cited a number of reasons to quit PTI: He said that if Imran Khan was given another chance he would bring the likes of Usman Buzdar again to rule the Provinces. He termed IK as ‘promoter of violence’!

He said that he and his associates in PTI were vocal against the benefits taken by Zardari and Sharif by means of retaining gifts given to them during their foreign trips. But later they learnt that Imran Khan too had been selling such gifts.

Farrukh Habib further pointed out that the cabinet members were made to sign the Al-Qadir University Trust matter sans showing the documents that remained secretly sealed in an envelope.

It is pertinent to mention here 14th day of October Farrukh Habib’s wife had sent a correspondent to CJP expressing her fear that he was being tortured to change his loyalty. His resurfacing within 48 hours manifests that the letter worked.
