WASHINGTON: Donald Trump has been acquitted by the Senate on 13th of Feb. in his 2nd impeachment case.
Predictably, Republicans successfully blocked conviction over the former president’s role in the assault by his supporters on Capitol.
According to details Senate vote of 57-43 fell short of the two-thirds majority needed to convict the former president on a charge of incitement of insurrection following a five-day trial.
It is pertinent to mention here that 7 of the 50 Senate Republicans joined the chamber’s unified Democrats in favoring conviction.
