ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has shown his disappointment over Panama scandal and said that the investigation couldn’t be processed under Nawaz Sharif’s government.
Addressing media after the hearing of Panama case at Supreme Court, Khan said the government was busy in money making and paying little heed on state affairs.
“When your prime minister is corrupt, than how could you believe on others,” Khan said, urging the apex court to disqualify PM Nawaz until the investigation gets completed.
PTI chief also criticized the PML-N government for failing to submit any concrete evidence in the court for nine months.
Earlier in the Panama case hearing today at the Supreme Court, Advocate Salman Akram Raja told the court that record for the Sharif family’s business dealings for the last four decades couldn’t be reproduced, as “it was lost during the 1999 martial law”.
He also argued that the court cannot reach a just conclusion in the case without first conducting a judicial inquiry.
