PESHAWAR: According to the official results for the first-ever elections held in the former FATA, announced by ECP, PTI has bagged five seats (by getting 1,77,000 votes) while independents managed to win from six constituencies.
JUI-F won three seats, ANP was declared winner from one constituency while JI too secured one seat.
Official Results:
PK-100 (Bajaur-1): PTI’s Anwarzeb Khan won by getting 12,951 votes. Runner-up was JI’s Waheed Gul with 11,775 votes.
PK-101 (Bajaur-II): PTI’s Ajmal Khan won by getting 12,194 votes. Runner-up was JI’s Sahibzada Haroon Rashid with 10,468 votes.
PK-102 (Bajaur-III): JI’s Sirajuddin Khan won by getting 19,088 votes. Runner-up was PTI’s Hafizur Rehman with 13,436 votes.
PK-103 (Mohmand-I): ANP’s Muhammad Nisar Ahmed won by getting 11,247 votes. Runner-up was PTI’s Rahim Shah with 9,669 votes.
PK-104 (Mohmand-II): Independent candidate Abbas-ur-Rehman won by getting 11, 751 votes.
PK-105 (Khyber-I): Independent candidate Shafiq Afridi won by getting 19,733 votes.
PK-106 (Khyber-II): Independent candidate Bilawal Afridi won by getting 12,814 votes.
PK-107 (Khyber-III): Independent candidate Muhammad Shafiq won by getting 9,796 votes.
PK-108 (Kurram-I): JUI-F’s Muhammad Riaz won by getting 11,948 votes. Runner-up was Jamil Khan, an independent candidate, with 11,517 votes.
PK-109 (Kurram-II): PTI’s Syed Iqbal Mian won by getting 39,536 votes. Runner-up was Inayat Ali, an independent candidate, with 22,975 votes.
PK-110 (Orakzai): Independent candidate Ghazi Ghazan Jamal won by getting 18,448 votes. Runner-up was PTI’s Shoaib Hassan with 14,699 votes.
PK-111 (North Waziristan-I): PTI’s Muhammad Iqbal Khan won by getting 10,200 votes. Runner-up was JUI-F’s Samiuddin with 9,288 votes.
PK-112 (North Waziristan-II): Independent candidate Mir Kalam Khan won by getting 12,057 votes. Runner-up was JUI-F’s Siddiqullah with 7,978 votes.
In PK-113 (South Waziristan-I): JUI-F’s Hafiz Aisamuddin won by getting 10,356 votes. Runner-up was Waheed Khan, an independent candidate, with 9,679 votes.
PK-114 (South Waziristan-II): PTI’s Nasirullah Khan won by getting 11,114 votes. Runner-up was Muhammad Arif, an independent candidate, with 10,272 votes.
PK-115: JUI-F’s Muhammad Shoaib won by getting 18,102 votes. Runner-up was PTI’s Abdul Rehman with 18,028 votes.

PESHAWAR: First-ever elections in former FATA has been conducted peacefully and presently the vote counting is in progress.
PESHAWAR: Political parties have fielded 84 candidates while 201 independents are contesting first-ever KP general elections that is presently underway for 16 seats in the former FATA.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has established 1897 polling stations (482 are for men and 376 for women, while 1,039 for both male and female voters: 554 have been declared highly sensitive and 461 sensitive) where 2.8 million residents (1.67 million men and 1.13 million women) of KP’s merged tribal districts are expected to vote.
NPTV correspondent has reported that people had reached the polling stations early in the morning where voting commenced at 8AM. Voters were given nine hours to vote and the polling will stop at 5PM.
Political parties that have fielded their candidates include PTI, JUI-F, ANP, PPP-P, JI, PML-N, QWP. Among ladies ANP’s Naheed Afridi is contesting in PK-106 Khyber-I while JI’s Malasa is contesting election in PK-109 Kurram-II.
Though ECP has also established complaint centers at its secretariat in Islamabad as well as Peshawar office, according to officials no complaint has so far been registered.
According to sources 34,497 Pakistan Army, Police, Frontier Corps, Levies and Khasadar Force personnel had been deployed at the districts to maintain law and order.
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister, Shoukat Yousafzai Saturday said holding of general elections in merged districts would change the destiny of tribal people and provide them endless opportunities of prosperity and development.
He said first ever general election was a historic event that would pave the way for development of tribal areas and would bring them into mainstream.
He said holding of general elections in merged districts is a milestone achievement aiming freedom and emancipation of tribal people.
Praising efforts of Pak Army for assisting peaceful holding elections, he said KP Chief Minister, Mahmood Khan was also in control room and monitoring election.
He said those who opposed merger were also contesting the elections. He also congratulated federal and provincial government for their efforts to hold elections in tribal areas.
