India wants Pakistan to increase number of pilgrims at Kartarpur

ISLAMABAD: India has put more demands before Pakistan regarding Kartarpur Corridor, asking to increase the number of pilgrims visiting Gurudwara Darbar Sahib to 10, 000 per day.

The demands came soon after Pakistani delegation led by Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal held high-level talks with India to finalise the remaining modalities on the proposed Kartarpur Corridor for the visit of Sikh pilgrims to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.

New Delhi has also demanded Islamabad to allow ‘protocol officials’ to come along with the visitors at the shrine of Baba Guru Nanak.

Pakistan has however refused to accept them which has hurdled the finalisation of the project.

Earlier, Dr. Muhammad Faisal had told that India and Pakistan had agreed to the draft agreement on the operationalization of Kartarpur Corridor except on a couple of points.
