Indian fans think Saba Qamar would have been good choice for Angrezi Medium

LAHORE/ MUMBAI: Seems Pakistani actor Saba Qamar managed to win hearts of Indian film lovers with her performance in Saket Chaudhary directorial Hindi Medium.

The 2017 movie, that also featured Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan in lead role, succeeded in grossing a total of $45 million worldwide.

The second installment of the movie was released in March 2020. However, there were changes in the cast as Kareena Kapoor Khan replaced Saba Qamar in lead role and fans really didn’t like it.

Angrezi Medium, the sequel of Saba Qamar starrer, didn’t manage to attract much audience and failed to deliver as expected. Some said it was the script that should have been more entertaining whereas some thought the makers of the movie should have retained same cast, especially the leading characters.

During an Instagram live session by the Cheekh actor, many of her fans from India praised her and said that she was missed in Angrezi Medium.

“One of them said that they didn’t like it,” Saba said. “This is what you do efforts for, the praise, and the love by your fans. I don’t know about the film’s success, but I know very well that I was missed in the sequel.”
