Indian troops claim killing three ‘separatists’ who attacked two sentry posts of 30 Rashtriya Rifles’ battalion headquarters

HANDWARA: Indian Army has claimed to have killed three ‘militants’ during a skirmish here at an area called Langate (situated towards the North of occupied Kashmir) today (Thursday) morning at 5am.

According to details ‘separatists’ opened fire at two sentry posts of 30 Rashtriya Rifles’ battalion headquarters. Indian defense spokesman claimed that when the said attackers were trying to flee they were engaged in an encounter and were shot dead during a twenty minute standoff. Spokesman said three Kalashnikovs were found from the fallen militants.  

A search operation was being carried out by Indian Army when this piece was filed.
