ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that India was trying to show fake evidence of Uri attack against Pakistan.
“India’s Uri attack evidence against Pakistan were baseless,” he said in an interview, “The United States has already rubbished the Indian evidence and warned India not to play the blame game.”
The minister also termed the army base attack in India-held Kashmir (IHK) an ‘inside job’ and said that the attack was staged by India itself to divert attention from Indian atrocities and barbarism against the innocent Kashmiris in the occupied Kashmir.
Asif said that Pakistan Armed Forces are ready to protect and defend the country’s sovereignty and integrity.
“Our armed forces have rendered supreme sacrifices in the war against terrorism and are also capable to face any threat from India,” he said, adding: “Armed forces recently conducted a war exercise to prepare themselves to counter any untoward situation.”
The defence minister further said that if India tries to do any misadventure, it would have to face dire consequences.
Commenting on the bill moved against Pakistan in the United States Congress, he said that anti-Pakistan elements are present in each and every country but the impacts of their voices depend on the policies of these countries.
To another query, the minister said PTI’s Raiwind march is not in the national interest as the country is facing threats from India.
