Iran hands over 71 deportees to Pakistan

TEHRAN (DEC 26, 2016): Iranian security forces on Monday handed over 71 Pakistani nationals to the Levies force at Pak-Iran borders in Taftan area of Chaghai district.

The Levies officials said these workers were arrested from different parts of Iran by Iranian security forces because they were living there without proper travelling documents.

These deportees had gone to Iran for their livelihood, officials said.

These deportees would be handed over to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further interrogation.

A report quoting statistics issued by the FIA last month revealed that nearly 250,000 Pakistanis were deported from various countries during the years 2012-2015.
