TEHRAN: NPTV, citing sources, had predicted on 4th of March, 2026, that 56-year-old Mojtaba, son of slain Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, will become the new Supreme Leader of Iran.
The Assembly of Experts, that met on 8th March, has finally confirmed his election. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps proclaimed that they were willing to follow him.
Mojtaba survived the 28th February US-Israel attack, that claimed lives of Ali Khamenei along with (family members and) top decision-makers of the establishment of Iran.
Meanwhile, Iran had launched strikes across the region responding to attacks by US and Israeli forces, who are determined to neutralise the top political and military leadership. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his government would press on with the assault and strike Iran’s rulers “without mercy.”
“We have an organized plan with many surprises to destabilize the regime and enable change,” he said in a video statement.
Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he was not seeking negotiations to end the conflict, which has driven up global energy prices, disrupted business and snarled air travel.
“At some point, I don’t think there will be anybody left maybe to say, ‘We surrender’,” he said.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin expresses his condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian: “Please accept my deepest condolences on the assassination of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his family members, committed in cynical violation of all norms of human morality and international law.
“In our country Ayatollah Khamenei will be remembered as an outstanding statesman who made an enormous personal contribution to the development of friendly Russian-Iranian relations, elevating them to the level of the comprehensive strategic partnership. Please convey my sincerest sympathy and support to the family and friends of the Supreme Leader, to the government and all the people of Iran.”
US President Donald Trump, taking to Truth Social on Sunday (1st March, 2026) morning proclaimed: “Khamenei, one of the most evil people in History, is dead. This is not only Justice for the people of Iran, but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS.
“He was unable to avoid our Intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems and, working closely with Israel, there was not a thing he, or the other leaders that have been killed along with him, could do. This is the single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their Country.
“We are hearing that many of their IRGC, Military, and other Security and Police Forces, no longer want to fight, and are looking for Immunity from us. As I said last night, ‘Now they can have Immunity, later they only get Death!’
“Hopefully, the IRGC and Police will peacefully merge with the Iranian Patriots, and work together as a unit to bring back the Country to the Greatness it deserves. That process should soon be starting in that, not only the death of Khamenei but the Country has been, in only one day, very much destroyed and, even, obliterated.
“The heavy and pinpoint bombing, however, will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!“
