TEHRAN: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is likely to arrive in Islamabad on Friday for a two-day official to Pakistan.
He will be visiting Pakistan for the first time as the President of Iran on special invitation of PM Nawaz.
According to the foreign office spokesperson, the Iranian President will hold meetings with the Pakistani leadership and discuss cooperation on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
“The President of Iran will exchange views on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly after lifting of the sanctions on Iran with President and Prime Minister of Pakistan,” said the spokesperson.
The Iranian President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Ministers, senior officials and businessmen.
