IS ‘enslaves’ thousands of Yezidi women and children: UN

 

BAGHDAD: According to UN Assistant Mission based here, IS has enslaved some 3,500 people (mostly women and children of Yezidi community), in Northern Iraq.  

UN has said that it had confirmed reports that on 21st June, 2015 around 850 children were rounded up in Mosul and abducted for military training. Those who refused were raped, tortured and flogged.

UN has also claimed to harbor detailing evidence of executions by beheading, shooting and burning alive.
