IS hostage-taker who killed 3 in S.France gunned down by security forces!

PARIS: As the IS hostage-taker who had killed three in U-Supermarket in Trèbes (Southern France) has been gunned down by the security forces, President Emmanuel Macron stated that it was a terror attack. IS has claimed that the 26-year old gunman  Redouane Lakdim was one of their soldiers.

President Macron, who is at the EU summit in Brussels, talked to the Interior Minister Gerard Collomb. After the conversation Minister went to Trèbes. He had confirmed that the hostage-taker has been shot dead. 

According to details the armed man took hostages in the U-Supermarket killing three and injuring twelve more. Earlier he had opened fire at policemen [(who were wearing tracksuits with police insignia), coming back from jogging near Carcassonne this morning] injuring one.

According to details the gunman – a petty drug dealer – hijacked a car near Carcassonne this morning. On resistance he killed one person in the car and injured the co-traveler.

Sources have informed that a policeman – who volunteered to be exchanged for a hostage – kept his cell phone on and thus managed to provide intelligence enabling law enforcers successfully storm the supermarket and kill the attacker.
