Islamabad United sends Peshawar Zalmi home, qualifies for final

DUBAI: Islamabad United thrashed Peshawar Zalmi by 50 runs in the second eliminator of Pakistan Super League at Dubai Cricket Stadium in UAE on Sunday night.

Chasing 177 to win, Peshawar Zalmi were all out for 126 in 18 overs with Imran Khalid and Andre Russell taking seven wickets between them.

Islamabad United will now clash with Quetta Gladiators in the final on Tuesday.

The convincing Islamabad victory was set up by Sharjeel Khan who smashed a maiden ton of the PSL to help Islamabad United post a 177-run target for Peshawar Zalmi.

Sharjeel Khan was declared the Man of the Match for his magnificent century.
