Istanbul night club Reina: 23 Turks, 16 foreigners killed, 69 wounded by ‘IS’ Santa-gunman!

clubISTANBUL (1 Jan., 2017): Turkish Press, quoting Interior/Health Ministers and the Governor here, have informed that with the advent of 2017 – at around 1 AM –  (presumably an IS militant) ‘Santa-gunman’ dressed in the festive outfit – stormed Reina, Istanbul’s most  popular night club by Bosporus.

Brandishing Kalashnikov assault rifle  at the Club’s gate he killed a policeman and a civilian. CCTV footage, seen by this scribe, shows bullets reflecting off a white car that was moving very slowly in front of the Club. Those killed included 23 locals and 16 foreigners.

Once inside he killed 39 and wounded 69 other youngsters, four critically, who had converged there to celebrate the advent of 2017. killed-policemanISTANBUL:Policeman  Burak Yõldõz  21, is the only victim who has yet been identified by the authorities. However, Interior Ministry has informed that 2o more bodies have been identified.  

A massive manhunt has been launched to apprehend the Santa-gunman who fled the scene of crime.

It is pertinent to mention here that Erdogan has pledged not to stop Turkish onslaught against IS and Kurdish fighters despite their bloody onslaughts in 2016.
