KARACHI: Fabrizio Bielli, Consul General of Italy in the Port City, welcomed the Karachiites, diplomats and compatriots at Grand Ballroom of the iconic Pearl Continental at an Iftar dinner on Thursday (26th February, 2026) with an objective of observing the holy month of Ramazan as well as promoting inter-faith harmony.
Addressing the ladies and gentlemen in the audience Consul General informed that he and his wife were also fasting to celebrate the true spirit of Ramazan. Citing Holy Quran’s verse ‘verily, with hardship comes ease’, the consul general held that Ramazan was a clear reflection of the very concept: “It entails sacrifice of the mind and body while enriching one’s soul to advocate goodness, mannerism, humility, and generosity.” Consul General Bielli while noting that Ramazan, coincides with Nauroz, Holi, Chinese New Year and Easter prayed.
“Let us pray that this Ramadan, which also coincides with Nauroz, Holi, Chinese New Year and Easter prayed, that it brings health, prosperity, happiness to all of us, regardless of our religion or belief. May it bring peace and religious harmony on this planet for all as we all deal with accomplishments and hardships of life, amen. Let us make this world a better place with our conscious efforts and mindfulness to promote peace and tolerance.”
