KARACHI: Flag Staff House was the venue where karachiites converged on 12th February to observe the 10th Edition of Italian Design Day, hosted by Consul General Fabrizio Bielli.

Addressing the Ladies and Gentlemen in the audience Consul General Bielli pointed out that Italian cities represent a unique laboratory for projects that combine sustainability, inclusion and technological innovation

Marco D’Egidio, Senior Technology Officer of ANCE gave a presentation on ‘Sustainable Urban Spaces’.

A panel discussion was held featuring industry experts. Association of Private Construction Contractors (ANCE)’s Marco D’Egidio said: “What I want to highlight is that we were not talking about development, we were talking about culture”!

Consul General Fabrizio Bielli, while harboring on the subject of environment, queried: “I was just wondering how big is your power. Because, I compare the recycle material that Italy … just in 2022-2023 they could recycle seventy thousand tons of aluminium.”

Aarij Iqbal, President Italian Development Committee (IDC) observed: “The selection of this particular venue by the consul with the help of the Flagstaff House was based around the fact that theme of this year is all about regenerative space and sustainability”.
